This two-day course will provide you with the skills you need to create useful, dynamic, interactive reports that visualise your data using Power BI dashboards.
These visualisations can be used to provide insights that will help your business improve its performance.
This course is designed for anyone with responsibility of creating reports using organisational data.
Ideally, you should have some knowledge of Excel and Office 365.
Introduction to Power BI
Including the ways in which you can use Power BI to create insightful reports, the limitations of Power BI and the licensing options.
How to create Data Sets for a Report
This topic includes how to connect different data sources to Power BI and how to combine them within your reporting. It also includes editing Data Queries.
Visualising the Data
In this module, you will cover how to create a variety of charts, maps, tables, cards, and matrices to visualise your data.
Creating Multiple Page Reports
During this module you will learn how to create multiple page reports and the use of filters and when to use a filter.
Publishing & Sharing Reports
This module will cover the publishing and sharing of reports and how you can automate scheduled reports.
Creating Dashboards
Once you have mastered reports we will cover the creation of Dashboards in Power BI and how these can be used and shared.
Using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
In the final module we cover the use of DAX including measures, calculated columns, using DAX in dynamic reports and some advanced DAX features.
Online one-to-one and group training is available from £590 + VAT for a full day (6 hours)
Classroom-based courses are available from £690 + VAT for a full day.

We are happy to run private Power BI courses online via Teams/Zoom or at your offices, at our Manchester office, or at a venue to suit you.
The course content can be adapted to suit your requirements. Our trainer will contact you to discuss what you are looking to achieve and the level of prior knowledge the delegates have.
Private Power BI courses are ideal if you have a number of people to train, or you want a different course outline; or simply can't make the dates of the public scheduled courses.
Private classroom-based courses are available from £690 plus VAT for a full day.

You will be sent a link to join the training session the day before the course along with any course materials needed.
The courses run from 9:30 am to 4/4:30 pm.
Because we limit the number of delegates to a maximum of 6 on our public courses specific timings are flexible, but generally, the day will run as follows:
