What is Assertiveness?
Assertiveness is regarded as an advanced form of communication skills. It also enables you to be a more confident individual who can deal effectively with difficult and challenging situations, in a respectful and controlled manner.
It is about understanding how to say the right thing at the right time, especially when interacting with an angry or difficult person.

One-to-one and private group Assertiveness training courses are available from £590 + VAT.
Online Private Assertiveness courses are available from £245 + VAT (3 hours) or £390 + VAT (6 hours).
A private course is ideal if you cannot make one of the set Assertiveness course dates or if you want a different course outline/focus.
We are happy to run private Assertiveness courses at your offices anywhere in the UK, at our Manchester office, or at a venue to suit you.

Understand the meaning of assertive behaviour
Clarify the characteristics of aggressive, passive and passive-aggressive behaviour
Explore relevant theories behind assertiveness focusing on Transactional Analysis
Appreciate how important it is to create a positive first impression when communicating with others
Learn to how use your face-to-face communication skills so as to become a more effective communicator
Appreciate the importance of human rights when being assertive
We will look at and practice a three-step model of assertiveness
We will explore other assertiveness techniques which can be applied in a variety of circumstances.
Because we only have 4 delegates on our online courses we can be flexible.
However, the standard timings for our Assertiveness online course are as follows:
9.15am | Sign in - to check everyone is up ad running on the software – and show them the tools available
9.30am | Start - First session
11.00am | 15 min break
11.15am | Second session
12.45am | 45 min break
1.30pm | Third session
3.00pm | 15 min break
3.15pm | Fourth session
4.30pm | Finish & Q&A
4.45pm | End
